‘Last Holiday’ Blu-ray Review

This is a heartwarming comedy that takes cue from ‘Cinderella’ and ‘Pretty Woman’. While the film does not offer anything new, which is based off of the original 1950 version of the same name with Alec Guinness, it is still very entertaining film. The remake did very well at the box office with a worldwide total gross of $43 million dollars. In DVD sales, the film has almost matched its box office totals.

When Georgia Byrd (Queen Latifah) is a store clerk that bumps her head at work, she’s rushed to the on-site HMO-approved cut-rate medical facility, where a CAT scan on a used machine indicates she has a number of tumors in her brain. The diagnosis is that she now only has three weeks to live.
