‘Event Horizon’ Blu-ray Review

Every few years there comes a science fiction film that turns out to be such a sleeper hit and has such a huge cult following, that years later fans are still talking about that film. ‘Event Horizon’ released in 1997 and with each passing year this film has built up cult status. I am one of those people that didn’t see the film till its initial DVD release. I remember looking forward to viewing this film then and I was quite amazed that this film had garnered such a cult like following since its theatrical release. With a $60 million dollar budget, the film would not do so well at the box office with a domestic gross of $26 million dollars. Doing the math, that is a rather abysmal showing at the box office. On home video this film would go on to sell very well over the last 10 years.
